Desceription:

In the West, spiritual practitioners most often think of meditation in terms of mindfulness or calm-abiding practices.  However, the Tibetan Buddhist tradition has also developed several powerful reflective or analytical practices that train us to become more familiar with new, more positive ways of seeing ourselves and others, even when we feel surrounded by chaos and discord. These practices help us overcome negative habitual patterns and create more constructive ones, thus leading to a more lasting, sustainable form of happiness.

The Seven Point Mind Training was originally taught by the Indian Nalanda Master Atisha in Tibet and compiled by his student Geshe Chekawa into a deeply meaningful set of instructions.  During this weekend intensive Geshe-la will provide instruction and opportunity for practice in utilizing these mind training meditations to transform our minds so that we can overcome difficulties and create lasting happiness in our daily lives.
