We are saddened to hear this news of an earthquake that struck Dingri in Tibet on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 killing at least hundreds of people, many more are injured and many others were trapped, damaging hundreds of homes in this harsh winter condition leaving many without adequate food, clothing and shelter. 

Namgyal Venerable monks and Tibetan Association Ithaca extend our heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and pray for the swift recovery of the injured and prayers for the deceased.

Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies and Tibetan Association, Ithaca invite all in the community to join for this Special Prayer.
