Courses at Namgyal Monastery
Institute of Buddhist Studies
Teachings at Namgyal-Ithaca include a broad range of opportunities for those interested in learning about Tibetan Buddhism and those hoping to advance their practice. Teachings are anchored by the Fall-Spring class schedule, which includes once a week meetings lasting 10-12 weeks.
Courses range from introductory sessions on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and practice to challenging readings and discussions of concepts in both Sutra and Tantra. Beyond classes, there are weekend Intensives on specific topics in Tibetan Buddhism, two annual Kalachakra retreats, and the annual Mansfield Lecture on Science and Buddhism.
