His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 91^st Birthday will be celebrated on Sunday – July 5^th 2026 at Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies, Ithaca, NY.

Ceremonial Sweet Rice and Tea, Birthday Cake and Cultural performance is organized by the Tibetan Association of Ithaca, NY. 

  His Holiness the Dalai Lama Birthday Program Schedule:

-         8:30 am: Incense Burning Prayer for His Holiness Long Life.

-        8:55 am: Venerable Monks, Board, Staffs, Students, Friends and Tibetan Association members will assemble at Outdoor Stage.

 9:00 – 10:40 am Prayer for the Long Life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama followed by Ceremonial Tea and Sweet Rice.

 10:30 – 10:40 Introductory Talk by Mr, Tenzin Lodoe -President of Tibetan  Association of Ithaca.

 10:40 – 11:00 Venerable Tenzin Choesang President of Namgyal Monastery will talk on the significance of the day.

 11:00 – 11:15 His Holiness the Dalai Lama Birthday Cake Cutting by Chief  Guest the Mayor of Ithaca.

11-15 – 11:30 Talk by Chief Guest Mayor of Ithaca with official announcement of the proclamation on His Holiness the Dalai Lama Birthday – July - Month of Compassion.

 11:30 – 12:00 Cultural performance by Ithaca Tibetan Association.

 12:00 – 1:00 pm Lunch Hosted by Ithaca Tibetan Association
